Kenya Trip 2013

I am really excited about an opportunity to go to Africa in May. A group of musicians with World Music Mission is going to Kenya to offer short term relief for the local missionaries and international aid workers who serve with SIM Sudan, and I have felt the call to join them.

Working with World Music Missions is the perfect way to do a trip like this, because they have already done all the planning and laid down the necessary groundwork needed for someone like me to go.
All I need to do is pray, rehearse, get my shots, and come up with the money to cover my end of the costs.
The necessary $2500 will cover everything like the flight, visas, medical, etc.

Reaching this financial goal will require some help as all the final costs are due by April 15th.
Any donation is welcome and also tax deductible. (Donation options below)

Here is an important tip I should pass along:

All funds received for this trip are considered as gifts to World Music Mission/A.C.T. Intl and are tax-deductible. While the gift you make will be credited to my portion of the funds required for the trip, in the event that I am unable to participate all monies raised will be used to offset the costs incurred for the trip or to fund ministries on the field where we are going to serve. Further, since my balance is due (2) weeks prior to date of departure, any donations received by WMM/ACT after that date may be applied to another later mission trip/project. Please do not decrease your normal giving to your home church in order to support this mission project.

I want to thank anyone already who feels the call to help me.

Kenya Team May 3-12, 2013
World Music Mission/Artists in Christian Testimony International

The World Music Mission exists to empower and celebrate the global worship of Jesus Christ and to facilitate opportunities for worship leaders, musicians and technicians to use their gifts in the service of the Kingdom.
Artists in Christian Testimony Intl’s ultimate objective is to see people around the world—as they come to Christ—worship God and express their faith in their own language and cultural style, while mobilizing and training church and mission leaders to more effectively worship and communicate the Gospel through music and the arts.
The WMM (World Music Mission) Kenya 2013 Team will be serving the missionaries of SIMSudan (Serving in Mission) They base in Nairobi, Kenya as the politics and logistics of Sudan and South Sudan make a permanent base there difficult at the current time. One day they hope to be in South Sudan running everything from there. The current Director of SIMSudan is Chris (and Beverly) Crowder. The Crowders lead a team of Doctors, Nurses, Teachers, Evangelists, Engineers and Pilots. Beverly is a Vanderbilt trained Nurse Practitioner and Chris’ background is Business Management. They have 3 children.
One unique request of the WMM for this trip every year is to bring a complimentary team of Children’s Ministry personnel to allow the parents to fully engage in the retreat activities. While the musicians are leading worship in one building, the children’s ministry team will be caring for 15-20 kids in another area.
