Sixth Bonus Track is Released

September 25, 2008

I have just released the sixth update to the Ones and 0s album which is a music video of the Geoff Smith classic “Not on the radio”. It is nostalgia for many as this was really one of my first big hits of exposure back when Adam Curry played this on the Daily Source Code.

The story behind it was that I was on the road doing a gig and my wife made the video with my daughter and then surprised me with it. It is from my first record, “Geoff Smith and the Tonewheels”.

To get the update just check your Ones and 0s podcast in iTunes and refresh. The new track should be downloading right away, do drop us a line if you face any issues.

Extra material will also be available for download for the Ones and 0s subscribers.

I have just released the fifth update to the Ones and 0s album which is a members only version of “Loving on a big hill”.

This song was born based on all some typos in Twitter - it is really a rather long story which is best explained on this blog post

The Rose Remix is up on iTunes!!!

September 4, 2008

Its been two and a half years since I released the song “Rose” on my record Geoff Smith and the Tonewheels.

Yes, it was inspired by the character, Rose, from the new version of Doctor Who on the BBC. I tried to take my Ben Folds piano pop approach and mix it with some vaugue sci fi references and came up with a cool little pop song. At least I tried to.

Anyway, it is 2008 and I have remixed the song and it was first released on my Ones and 0s Dynamic Subscription album.  When you subscribe the the record, a whole year’s worth of bonus material comes automatically delivered to you straight to iTunes as an RSS feed (like a podcast).

It is also now on iTunes. It is the same song, just remixed in a bit more modern fashion. I am really proud of this song and I hope you go check it out.

Here is the Remix version of the song set to the same original “Fantastic Rose” video that a Doctor Who Fan made a few years ago.

Forth Bonus Track release

September 1, 2008

I have just released the fourth update to the Ones and 0s album which is a members only version of “Loneliness for Two (Live)”.

This is a live video recording of me performing in a 7 min long special version of the song with support from his band at a show in St Louis, MO. The trumpet player showed up that night with his horn and just sat in with my band. It was quite a fun night. I’ll be posting lots more footage from that night.

To get the update just check your Ones and 0s podcast in iTunes and refresh. The new track should be downloading right away.

Extra material will also be available for download for the Ones and 0s subscribers.
